Susie Martin, beloved mother, grandmother and matriarch, passed on January 2, 2024. She was surrounded by close family at the time of her death. She was 101 years old. Susie Martin was of the Ashįįhi clan and born for the Bit’ahnii clan. She was the daughter of the late Henry Pia. She was the wife of, the late, Joe Martin, of Cahone, Colorado. Mother to two daughters and eight sons. Grandmother and great-grandmother to many.
Funeral services will occur on January 12, 2024 at 10am at the Shiprock Pentecostal Church in Shiprock, New Mexico. Interment to follow at the Shiprock Community Cemetery located in Shiprock, New Mexico.
Donations are being accepted by the family and can also be made over the phone, or in person to Desert View Funeral Home in Shiprock, New Mexico.
